Incidentally I bought my first Mac a LCII 10/40 with a personal laser writer brand new back in 1992. I think they cost about 1400 In 1994 I sold it to replace it with a Duo 270c but wasn't happy with that, and exchanged that for a new Quadra 800 8/240 (no CD) Cost about 2k. The Quadra was still in use until last year when it was replaced with a PC for better web surfing for my sister. A modem for the Quadra being impossible to source in Ireland. Last year I saved a stock 7200 and 9500 from the company skip as they were being dumped. Some TLC later I got them working and sold the 7200 and kept the 9500 which I upped to 9.1 and iTunes and recently YDL 2.3 The Mac's are only toys as all my main work is done on PC's for the last few years. I'd like to make the 9500 and 800 into useful machines but I can't think of anything to use them for at the moment. If I ever have some spare cash, I'd like to upgrade the 9500 and the 800, since I like using the classic Mac OS. I also like the look of the Quadra style case, awkward as it is to open.
