Clearly those new cases like the previous ones arouse some heated discussion. Well 'there's no accounting for taste' as they say. I think they look ok, very minimalist, not as nice as the curvy quicksilver, but then mine sitting under the desk and I hardly ever see the case.
I think the bulk of the design time for the G5's has gone into the internals, its sounds like they've done a lot to make sure airflow is good, things are easy to access and that the case design can handle future changes in the internal hardware.
Overall, I think they're a step forward.
