Thanks db, you're a life-saver! I was beginning to think there was no way of getting USB2 to work on my early G4 tower under Jaguar.
I took a look at the card you bought and it does indeed support USB2 from MacOS 10.1.1 or later (USB1 from MacOS 8.6 to 9.X) A bit more digging turned up another Macally card, more suited to my requirements: Features: Provides 5 USB2.0 Hi-Speed Type A ports (4 external & 1 internal) Connects both USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 Devices to your computer simultaneously Supports all USB speeds: USB 2.0 EHCI 480 Mbps and USB 1.1 OHCI 12 Mbps Provide up to 500mA each port Plug & Play System Requirements: Any Macintosh with a PCI 2.1 compliant slot MacOS 10.1.1 or later for USB2.0 MacOS 8.6 to 9.X for USB1.0 Specifications: FCC Part 15, Class B, & CE Net Weight : 2.4 oz Dimensions : (W) 2.5",(L) 4.8",(H) 0.7" 3 Year warranty Part Number: UH2-225 MSRP: US $39.00 QUESTION: What sort of devices might use the "internal" USB port?)
