I ran OSX on a B&W G3 (350MHz, 640MB RAM) without any difficulty. In any case I'd opt for the B&W over the beige anyway. The beige does have SCSI and a serial port but the B&W has Firewire and USB and is much more easily upgraded (and you could add a serial port and SCSI if required).
