I'm running OSX 10.1 on my Rev. A iBook - 300MHz G3 and 384MB of RAM - and it's certainly usable. I'll echo the comments about not using a machine of this calibre for any kind of heavy Photoshopping, but for finding your way round, word processing, email, etc., you should be fine. Even Classic's quite content (one day I'll shell out for Office v.X =) )
