hmm - my tolerance for noise has probably dropped as my environment at work
has gotten noisier, but I must admit that noise is one of the reasons I'll be ditching
my G4 as soon as I can get hold of a new beast. If you really want quiet, I think
you're basically stuck with either a Cube, an iMac, one of the portables, or a g5..

I recently bought a Cube on eBay for �350. It had damaged USB ports (using a hub was a cheap fix) and no speakers (a Griffin iMic sorted that) but I still see it as one of my best bargains. Extremely quiet (I have it on 24/7), runs OSX beautifully and there's no shortage of upgrades possible.
