Reading Word Documents on the Mac Thanks to all those who offered advice on the above problem.
Appleworks 6 will convert Word documents but not those produced by the latest copies of Word - whatever that is. I tried Appleworks first but I couldn't persuade it to translate any word docs. ICWord is the solution that works. Until I posted my question on this mail list I had never heard of the program.
