I would suggest signing up with any of the major ADSL (shop around at leisure) suppliers.

Then buy an ADSL wireless modem router (BT Voyager, Netgear, Linksys etc.)

Install an Airport card in your chosen laptop (set up to receive DHCP serving) and surf away this works just great for me.

It also bypasses the often flaky drivers (seldom updated as often as the OS) supplied for the ADSL modem that comes with the service.

Your email is linked to your username with the service provider so as long as you continue to connect under the same account details there should be no interruption to your email. You should be able to change the registered account address without too much hassle

:-)

Hi:

I'm in the interesting position of upgrading everything. (I've just got
reacquanited with a PowerMac 7500 with system 7.5.5 on board. It can dial-up

possibly a PowerBook if I'm feelign flush) with 10.3 and wondered how that
OS is supported by the main broadband service providers. Does anybody have
any experience running Panther over broadband?

I also have a second question regarding email address portability if I were
to move my broadband line to another physical location.

TIA for any help or pointers,
