If it has a parallel port you can get a USB to parallel adaptor. I got my
Epson Stylus Photo to work with Panther this way.

Personally I went the print server root, bought a d-link print server on e-bay (about 23 quid including postage) and hooked up my Stylus Photo 700 to it via a parallel cable. Then setup cups+gimp-print to print to it. Works very well.

This was an option for me because I already had an Ethernet router, so the print server is attached to the Ethernet network. I can print to it from my G3 and G4, no need to have one of them turned on to share the printer.

On the down side the epson 'management' tools are lost to me. No telling the printer to print alignment patterns, clean print heads etc. And no seeing the completely useless 'ink level' monitor :)
You can clean the print heads by pressing buttons on the printer so its no big deal.

Originally I set this up on Jaguar, and it was a little complex, but panther just seemed to work without a lot of effort.
