The Maccentral site has some initial details of new Powerbook and iBook configurations; mainly speed increases plus inclusion of Airport as standard. No details yet about iBooks.

And the Apple UK Store is currently (14;20) 'closed for updating', so we've obviously got the new machines as well.

They're out now (PBs only) but nothing very exciting unless you burn a lot of DVDs:

Indeed, they are largely incremental changes. But they're attractive changes, as far as I can see, and the most attractive are actually in the iBook line: a) they now use Airport Extreme, not Airport; b) slot-loading optical drives, no longer tray-loading; c) minimum speed 1Ghz; and d) cheaper - down 50 on the 12" to 799; 100 on the lower-level 14" to 899; and 150 on the 1.2Ghz 14" to 1050.

Put it this way, the 12" iBook is now a better machine than my 9-month-old 12" PB (Mk 1), and costs 500 less than the PB did.

Those iBooks are now seriously good value for money....
