Point taken. There is a saving option in MS Office that allows one to only
use and save documents in specific version capabilities, but granted it is
far from perfect (it is after all MS).

I still think that there is better compatibility among different versions of
MS products than with different programs (unfortunately, so far). Let's hope
that it gets better and that we can all use alternatives to MS.

I do find the cross platform ability fantastic as you mention as it is also
with Gimp and MySQL. Hopefully the times, they are a ...
