Most of the list I'm on ENFORCE no attachments.

Send as plain text - isn't there a button/setting to do it automatically ?

Never have a problem personally.

I make all my mailing lists no html/no attachments and much prefer it.

The reason was IIRC - some systems would reconnect you to download graphics
etc. in html mails after you had downloaded the message.
