it was just info about the itunes store opening in uk.
i did have a link to the news article it was in. is that why it kept getting returned?

I may well be out of my depth here ( I often am ) but I see no reason to worry about this if there is a rule to not allow attachments. As I said, all the other lists do not repeatedly reject my mails and force me to hunt down the little character or bit of pasted italicing
or whatever and have three of four attempts at sending something. I know others here subscribe to lists I loiter in and will verify that it is not a problem.... so I maintain it is needlessly bothersome.
