It is my experience that .Mac is pretty good about adding a year to your end of trial date, rather than the date you elect to subscribe, so if they have actually taken their money there is something very awry. Are you sure they have taken it or merely made reference to the plan to do so.
If you had the auto renewal box checked then you may assume that constitutes some sort of agreement for Apple to take the money but only when it is due. You could try calling Apple support in Ireland as I did last time I had a ,Mac problem. They managed to sort it out for me. However, on another occasion, when I was invited to cash in a referral credit on a game, I elected to do so and never got the game, despite many eMails to .Mac support and despite losing the credit.
I find ,Mac very good and useful if a little pricey. In balance I think it is worth the 68.90 and I have today just paid for my second annual update. They reminded me a couple of days ago that the card I had in my personal details had expired, which was good work but, when you reply they tell you to go away and look at their FAQ, which is less good. It is improving all the while though and the support forums etc seem much better than they were.
If you go to your account (i.e. log in) then go to support (green cross) and then click on "account", you should get a window which allows you to mail direct to .Mac support with a semi pledge to respond in 24 hrs. If you have not tried this, it might be worth having a go. I have found that it does not work properly if you do not log in first though.

When moving to OSX recently I took out a free trial 60 day mac.com account. Surprisingly (to me at any rate!), I was immediately billed for it on my credit card. Being perhaps too naive, I'd expected to be asked at the end of the 60 day period if I wished to continue before being billed. However, I don't want to continue with mac.com and simply want a refund.
Scouring thought the mac.com web site documentation I finally found a contact address. So, I emailed Mac UK who replied that the matter couldn't be dealt with by email(?) but gave a follow-up number and phone number to ring (0800 at least). The rep. who answered seemed surprised that I'd been billed and agreed that, at that rate, it certainly wasn't a 'free' trial! After some deliberation off-phone with a colleague he said he'd passed the matter on and that I'd get an email from them. After eight days - nothing! I've emailed Mac UK again quoting the follow-up number but just get an automated response. Another email, another automated response! What goes?
Any ideas anyone on how to get that subscription back? Is this policy of immediate billing the norm? The 'free' 60 day trial ends in 10 days or so and I've not used any of the facilities apart from downloading Backup.
Any ideas appreciated...
