Google reports 853,000 hits for "radio program", versus 190,000 hits for "radio programme"
Well it would do, since 'program' is an entirely correct spelling in the US, Australia and elsewhere. Restrict Google to pages from the UK and you'll get 23,200 for "radio program" and 52,100 for "radio programme". The BBC's site will give you 26 and 1,044 respectively.
Interestingly, Chambers 20th Century (1983) has no separate entry for program, merely listing it as an alternative spelling of programme, with the note 'mainly U.S., and esp. in relation to computers'.
Which is as you'd expect. In a computer context several US spellings have become the norm - program, disk, etc. I wasn't nit-picking, just responding to a question about what was (at this time) accepted usage. As we can see, their usage is already spreading beyond the world of computers and in time perhaps they'll completely replace 'programme' and ''disc'.
Prescriptive spelling, grammar, and such like, are, I believe, rather out of fashion these days, Roger.
Actually I think they're very much back in fashion, though not necessarily with me - language develops or it dies, and English is the most acquisitive of languages.
