That's the practical side of things, I'm pretty sure I could get the case open to do the work with an amount of care. My concern was more the warranty side of things, which I've not seen a definitive answer to - although to be honest I've just read lots of bits on the MM, but not actually searched for an answer on this issue. Just realised I've got a �20 voucher for the Apple on line store kicking around somewhere which runs out at the end of the month. That puts the pressure on to decide if I'm going to get a new unit - it would be a shame to get it a few weeks after I could have saved some cash!
