I don't usually as these sorts os questions but I'm in a spot at the moment.
With Tiger die for release like REALLY soon, and me not exactly having my
finger on the Apple pulse of late, I just wanted to garner a few opinions.

I have a G4/500 upgraded B&W G3 with 1GB RAM, a Radeon 7000 PCI card, an ample
hard disk and a nice 17" Flat Panel screen.
I also have a 15" 800MHz iMac G4 with 768MB RAM, otherwise stock config.

Would you consider buying Tiger for one or both these machines? My original
plan was to buy a Dual CPU G5 PowerMac to run next generation stuff on and
leave the two existing machines with 10.3.8, which runs like silk on both. Then
I decided to fly out to Chicago to meet a group of friends in July so that's
kinda been shelved for a long time. I can't see funds allowing a G5 shaped
investment for some time and I was really looking forward to using the cool new
features in 10.4 like Spotlight and Automater. My concern is that neither
machine has particularly sparkling Graphics or Bus speeds and neither have a
cats chance of handling anything fancy like the new CoreGraphics system (since
10.3.7 the B&W can't even do QE anymore).

I dunno. Maybe I'm just thinking aloud, but I'd appreciate input, as I value
everyone's opnion.
