I certainly wouldn't buy it for the B&W until you're sure it's going to run OK with the upgrade card. It should run OK on the iMac but only you can decide if it's worth the price.

If you still want a G5 then it's worth checking the Apple refurb store on Wednesdays as they've had them at 20% off most weeks. If they do release upgraded models then they might offer bigger discounts.
