One thing to consider is Tiger requires at least a 1 GHz processor G4 or
better (and of course decent BB speeds) to initiate multi-person iChat
Conference calls,

and with the amount of HD features built into Tiger if you plan to do any
video editing then your iMac may lag a bit in comparison to
G5's...otherwise, it should do fine (initial tests suggest Tiger will run
faster on older hardware than Panther does).

I'd personally leave the B&W running Panther.
