Your considered replies were very helpful indeed. For a little under
the price of 2 x M-Audio 2496 cards, I could get the Yamaha RXV357
(AV Receiver) which is available from Richer Sounds for £120. As afr
as I can see, it has optical inputs. With this, I can do a lot more
towards setting up a sound system that suits me just fine:) This AV
receiver should give me a lot more options than the M-Audio would
have done. Then save up for some decent speakers!
