"Not more than a couple of hundred mailing lists" sound like quite a few to me!

The hosting company I use, 123ehost.com, is one of the very cheapest I know of ($50/year!) and has been absolutely sterling--zero downtime, great support. They offer 3 or 4 mailing lists for free with that basic hosting plan, using the "Mailman" interface, which is very easy to use.

I'd suggest you give them a call or an email and see what they'd charge for what you want.

Regards, Fred

Thanks for all the help so far; I've learned a lot, but still haven't found what I'm looking for. All I've found are sites that will allow me to manage one big mailing list. Perhaps it would help if I gave more detail about what I have in mind....

The plan is for a tech site serving a very tight market niche. Premium site membership would be granted only to those with membership in one of several professional groups. I would like to offer these people the opportunity to host small mailing lists of their own-perhaps up to 30 other people. Ideally, their management of these mailing lists would be automated and require minimal intervention by me. I can't imagine having more than a couple hundred lists over the first few years.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Cheers,

Erik
