Take a look at <http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301229-en> and follow the given instruction. The only thing to be aware of is that you choose X11 instead of the app given in the example :-) >> i know i look stupid but i am so frustrated now that i cannot work >> without my stomach all in an uproar because the expensive mac is >> driving me to drink. well hope to hear from you soon. For our and your sake best would be to bring the mac back and buy a Windows Vista PC and stop bothering people you really want to help you. If you're not willing to adopt to changes and you expect that you can switch from PC to Mac from one minute to the other without any adjustements well you propably understood something wrong. If you still want to give the Mac a try consider buying some books too. I recommend "The Missing Manual - Mac OS X Tiger Edition" from David Pogue. <http://www.amazon.com/Missing-Manual-Mac-Os-Tiger/dp/B000G7WZIW/sr=8-2/qid=1172565574/ref=sr_1_2/103-2097340-3199011?ie=UTF8&s=software> You will also get some short instructions to the iLife Familie.
