Sure, I was not suggesting this because I don't want to install it somewhere else. It was just about the question how to achieve that the user doesn't run the application directly out of the mounted .dmg file. This is what many users will likely do when they drag the application to the applications folder and get the "do you want to overwrite?" question. So it's not primarily about comfort but about the risk of a wrong impression the user gets of the application performance.

You can create subdirectory named e.g. AQUA in your Applications directory and drag the icon there.
