Hi Eric,
First of all, Objective-C files should by convention have the
ending .m, Objective-C++ files the ending .mm. And second, solenv/
inc/ rules.mk has support for these file endings already for ages.
Yeah, I remember the desktop changes for CFRunLoop() code ;-)
In fact, we discussed the point some times ago, and I don't
remember the reason why we didn't choose .mm way of naming ... I'll
try to find it in my logs.
I searched the official meetings' logs and couldn't find enything
related to that. One of the main discussions regarding the cocoa
transition was in http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/
Log_Mac_Meeting_4_July_2007 but I couldn't detect the file endings
problematic being discussed there.
So if anyone remembers the pro arguments for staying with .cxx then
please chime in. Otherwise I might be tempted to rename the files
containing Obj-C(++) code...
Kind regards,
Florian
