Okay, then. I suggest that as soon as all icons are made (and should new
style splash-screens accompany?), then they should be included, even in
unstable builds, maybe even for all platforms come the next version, 2.4.

There won't be a final stable aqua build of 2.3.
We are currently just [quietly] releasing milestones of the Aqua
build. m237 is the latest and is on the way to 2.4. By the time 2.4 is
finished QA and released, the development milestones will have moved
on quite a lot.
An Aqua stable will probably be release for 3.0.
