Historically there were performance issues with NTFS-3G generally (or NTFS-3G for Mac OS X, I can't remember which). AFAIR something a few months ago led to dramatic improvements and since then I have heard no-one mention performance. > I'm willing to give it a shot anyway to see how it goes. From what I gather second-hand, third-hand in IRC, NTFS-3G for Mac OS X will either: a) work very, very nicely or b) not work at all. Whether or nor that's hearsay, I should generally be prepared for the unexpected. MacFUSE and NTFS-3G aside: http://trac.macosforge.org/projects/zfs/ wiki/issues shows that novel use of a file system (iTunes prior to 7.6 with ZFS) may have unexpected quirks.
