In my experience user expectations are equal on all platforms: everybody 
expects things to work out of the box.

On many Linux distibutions this is a reality in case of NTFS. But the best 
we can do for OS X is providing the DMG image, thanks to Erik Larsson, 
similarly as you do with MacFUSE:

 http://hem.bredband.net/unsound/ntfs-3g/NTFS-3G_1.2129-ublio-catacombae.dmg

Three of the previously included URLs were pointing to the UBLIO DMG.
