In brief: if your file system does not support what's expected by Finder, then messages from Finder may be inconclusive. A highlight from http://groups.google.com/group/MacFusion-devel/msg/4b3a5883fd4d464d >> The qualities of Finder, and of numerous other Apple and third party >> applications for Mac OS X, require (or benefit from) a file system >> that supports extended attributes. > Actually the message is "you do not have sufficient privileges for > some of the items" from Finder. As Finder mentions 'privileges', so people are often misled to think about permissions. Defocusing from MacFUSE: if you're curious about the ways in which Finder and (for example) Word 2008 work with volumes, see http://groups.google.com/group/MacFusion-devel/browse_thread/thread/64729b971e822a26 Regards Graham --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "macfuse-devel" group.
