Yes,  macfuse worked fine until I upgraded to snow leopard.  I didnt
realize nfs would work on a mac. Guess I never even thought about it.
Thanks for the info, I will give nfs a go.  Can I use spotlight on my
linux machine and index a drive over nfs? I suppose I can google from
here on out.
