Google Chrome doesn't install MacFUSE. As noted something else has
more than likely put it on your system.

To repeat a quick list of applications that might have put it on there:
- Parallels
- MacFusion
- ExpanDrive
- NTFS-3G
- Tuxera NTFS for Mac
- VMware Fusion
- sshfs

I don't think Google actively supports the MacFUSE project beyond a
Googler (Amit) spending his 20% time on writing something valuable for
the Mac community. Even then he has been snowed lately which is
unfortunate but a fact of life for many.

If you want to notch up a black mark for someone from Google giving
something away for free and likely a commercial product then picking
up and using it then I worry. The person who gave it away for free
didn't install it on your system without telling you, someone else
likely did. Look through the list, if you have any of those products
go talk to those vendors about it. Despise those vendors not Google
nor Google Chrome who haven't put this on your system.

Calm down, read the FAQ and work out what the real culprit is instead
of lashing out on a public mailing list with people who volunteer
their time to produce great software which may or may not have
contributed to your issues and most likely didn't self install itself
silently.

Cheers,

Sam Moffatt
