If you are using outlook express here are the steps: 1) create the sub folders - I assume from your email that you know how to do this.
2) if you don't already have mail from each of your three email loops (here I assume you mean you have three different email addesses) send your self an email to each of them. 3)open the first email and select rules from the TOOLS menu 4) In the rules menu click new in the upper left corner and a window opens 5) give the new rule a name 6) In the "If" box click and hold the pop up menu and choose account from the list. Release the menu and the word account appears 7) In the "then" box click and hold the pop up menu and select move 8) then select the next pop up menu and choose the folder or sub folder into which you want the message to be moved. 9) you can check your work by closing the test message but leave it selected. In the MESSAGE menu select apply rule and choose your new rule. Assuming you created the rule as you desired The message will be moved into the appropriate folder. Good luck. on 12/06/2002 3:45 PM, suzart at suzart at insightbb.com wrote: > Hi, > I'm trying to set up Mail with 3 subfolders in my inbox, so that the > incoming mail from my 3 e-mail loops will be sorted into them using the > rules in the preferences. The next meeting of the Louisville Computer Society will be January 28 For more information, see <http://www.aye.net/~lcs>. A calendar of activities is at <http://www.calsnet.net/macusers>.
