Since netgear's $30 router rebate is ending on January 5th (as is my
vacation), I figured I'd start getting my wireless network started by
getting an MR814 (the followup to the MR314).

Now for the questions:

This thing'll have some basic firewall stuff in it, right, so I won't
need another piece of hardware?

What specs should I be looking for in a cable modem (as I haven't yet
gotten the fast internet connection)? I assume that the $100 that insight
digital wants is way too much. I've seen some on ebay for $40, but don't
know what is recommended.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a wireless card? I've seen some
sites which recommended Orinoco gold wireless cards for g3 powerbooks
(like my wife's). Others recommend a true apple airport card. The former
cost $70 whereas Apple's cost $93.

Thanks for any info.
