I have a Handspring Treo 300. I chose it because it is PDA-phone-emailer-webbrowser all in one, and when I was looking there weren't as many choices in that niche as there are now. It is Palm-based, and syncs just fine. The PDA part of it is solid as a rock.
I would not jump to recommend it. The phone is clunky, the built-in browser (Blazer) is non-Java and slow, and the only carrier that supports it is Sprint, whose coverage in Louisville is spotty at best. Mine seized up completely twice; the first time a hard reset fixed it, the second time Sprint replaced it. If you are interested in a combo unit, there are newer, more elegant designs than Handsprings. Sony-Erricson looks to me like the way to go in that market.
