Yes, i've left Quark behind for InDesign. i started getting really
annoyed somewhere between versions 4 and 5. InDesign was great as the
alternative was a combination of PageMaker/FrameMaker. ID has come a
very long way in a short time and Adobe seems to be very committed to
this software. I think you will like ID. (Just so you can transition
easily, ID will let you set all of the Q keyboard shortcuts for use in
ID).
MX is a good package, my only concern is that M$ will try to buy them
out (there is a real possibility this could happen as it would put M$
in a strong strategic position by doing so). So far, they have resisted
the overtures from the Dark Side, but if Adobe pushes GoLive, etc. into
Apple's hands it could happen.
