Mail.app works well for me. It doesn't have some of the features yet 
that others do, but its spam filters are good. I haven't had troubles 
importing the mail that I wanted to form other programs when I moved 
over, but then I was not trying to move highly critical stuff.

Moving Excel sheets will depend on the formulas, etc that you are 
trying to move. Excel has a lot of built in ones that you will have to 
program in in the AW imported one.
What kinds of problems did you having moving Word docs over?
