Jerry,

Are plug-ins and drivers the same thing? Or is a driver just one type of
plug-in?

Canon has two drivers (to be download simultaniously) that will make the
scanner work better in OSX instead of having to run OS9. I want to download
those two, hoping things will operate better. However, because I'm only 75%
sure what the problem is, part of me wonders if downloaded the drivers will
complicate things. Hmmm. Right now, Canon's site has a broken link for one
of the drivers. I emailed them, so hopefully, it will be corrected soon.

Thanks for writing.
Troy
