I have a Canon N1220U. I just realized that it has LIDE (LED Indirect
Exposure) on the label. Canon updated the driver for my scanner some time
ago to work with OS X. I got the driver from the Canon web site. It
requires me to use Photoshop Elements to work with it. It works fine. I am
not familiar with your scanner though or your problems.
