I have iView but only use it for slideshows. I use the Finder and am an anal folders within folders filing system person and am meticulous about correctly naming files ie: orig_rose-25_06, edit_rose-25_06 or print_rose-25_5706. Where 57 indicates a 5x7 crop, 810, 1216, the rest self explanatory. I never crop an original or edit, only a duplicate is cropped then saved in the print folder. A client may latter ask for a 1216 and I'm had if I cropped my edit 57?danged if I will re-edit my original. I do a lot of black and white printing and those are named print_rose-25BW_5706 etc. These would be filed under Images_06, then Originals_06, Edits_06, or Prints_06. So a string might be Images_06/Prints_06/Prints_5706/ print_florals_5706/print_rose-25_5706. A Spotlight search on print_rose will yield every rose print file I ever made, in every size dating back to 2000 where my file system starts. With Spotlight I guess I could dump it all into one folder and find the stuff, but would "I" trust it?
