I burn CDs for backup and use CD-R type, not the rewritable. So I
produce "coasters" every so often. However, since I also have an
external hard drive for backup, I don't seem be producing them fast
enough for my needs. If any of you have old CDs or DVDs (bad burn
sessions, old photos, etc.) that are of no use to you, I would
appreciate them.

I'm not sure you really want to know what I use them for, but since you
probably wonder I'll tell you. I have found them to be great coasters to
protect furniture from rocks and minerals I put out on display. Also
useful as a moisture barrier for rocks and minerals or any other items
that go on the floor in my basement. Even with the carpet, I am
concerned about moisture seeping up by capillary action from the
concrete floor.

If you have any, bring them to the LCS meeting and I'll put them to use.
The best ones are the clear spacer ones that come in some packages of
discs because I can [put smaller specimens on them and no label,
writing, or silver shows.
