I recently bought Tiger, and installed it
on a CD-only flat-screen iMac
from a new G4 PowerBook with DVD,
but suspect that the resulting iBook installation is configured for
the PowerBook instead of the iMac.
Oops! Now I can't print or HotSync.
Last year, Dan Crutcher, AMProfileprofile at aye.net and Mike Garton
wrestled with installing Tiger on a CD-only Mac, and I'm wrestling
with it now.
The concluding suggestion for them was to swap the DVD for CDs

I have $9.95 + DVD + Proof of Purchase, but would prefer not to wait
for the round trip in the mail.
Anyone have Tiger on CDs that I might borrow overnight?

Experience teaches us to be most on our guard to protect liberty
when the government's purpose is beneficent.
Men born to freedom are naturally alert
to repel invasion of their liberty by evil-minded rulers.
The greatest dangers to liberty lurk
in insidious encroachment by men of zeal,
well-meaning but without understanding.
