Congratulations, glad to hear it is working.
Use a switch instead of a hub. Hubs are slooooooow because they share
the same bandwidth with all devices in half duplex mode (when one
device is chatting the others have to patiently wait their turn go chat
on the party line and the chatting device can only talk, it cannot
listen to the device it is talking to). A switch on the other hand uses
full duplex mode (one device chats and listens at the same time). Plus
switches are pretty cheap until you get into the 128 port 1GB per port
heavy duty stuff. File transfers take about 1/2 the time using a switch
than they will using a hub, it is of course not exactly 1/2 due to
some overhead. In more practical terms you will get fewer timeout
errors using all of your computers to access the internet if you have a
switch than if you have a hub.
