Open up your Applications folder. Inside of there you will find a 
folder called Utilities. Open that. In there, you will find the Disk 
Utility application (It has an icon of a hard drive with a stethoscope 
on it.) Double click on that program and let it start up. A window will 
pop up and in the left side you will see you drive(s) listed. In the 
right you will find several tabs. One of the tabs will be "First Aid". 
Select your drive and click on the First Aid tab. Several buttons will 
appear, one of them being Repair Permissions. Click on it and let it 
finish...
