Allan, Mike, Jerry, Dan, thanks ever so much for your inputs. I learned a lot about addressbooks and mail and datebook programs. It's those little suggestions which often make all the difference. As soon as I move over to OSX, I suppose I shall get the Apple mailprogram with its incorporated calendar etc, because it's free, for now I shall keep OE, since it does have th4e capability to put names into alphabetical order. Just my toggling between highlighting the e-mail bar and then again the name bar or for that matter the phone bar,made my addressbook ein kunterbuntes Allerlei. - I may, though, use up all six mailboxes which Insight provides ,giving them the names of my cats and then guiding different e-mail subscriptions into different boxes, like MacUsers for Mouche , NewYork Times for Wiz, A Word a Day for Isadora etc etc. etc. With your help. even my cats might turn into MacPros.
