MacGroup: Printer not responding

Hello:
        For the past 2 days I have not been able to print from my iMac to my HP
Deskjet. I do not receive ANY error messages; just silence. Where do I
start? I cannot come up with any action that triggered this lack of
response. Thank you very much for your help.
