Neal, I really appreciated your reply until I got to this part, (I'm 
running a Dual 2GHz power G5, Version 10.3.9, with 1.5 GB DOR SDRAM.). 
That made me envious. I'm still on an old blue G3. I, too, came out 
okay. I didn't need my backup. I used the rebuild procedure that I was 
directed to on the Apple site. All a learning process, if I could only 
remember from problem to problem. Thanks to all, again.  Bernie
