John, I am the oldest , I am sure, in age that is, will be 79 this
month. All grandmas and greatgrandmas rejoice, you can learn about
computers! - I do, once in a while, resort to some German expressions,
simply to remind the gurus to keep it simple for us who don't speak
computereeze. German to many of them will sound like computereeze to
us. O yes, I usually come around the second time to translate .
Last input meant : tell me , o wise one, how did you acquire such
knowledge? - because I have never been ashamed or afraid to ask
others! (P.S. a little resurrection of the German dictionary might be
good for a brain exercise, or you might want to change the computer
language into German. Has anybody tried that? I have been having a
blast with that. Hardly know my own language, the way these technical
expressions sound in German!)
So I keep asking, and they keep answering. Incidentally, do any of you
ever use the Apple discussions? They are a great resource. I had all
sorts of iPod and iCal questions answered there. Thank them for my not
addressing ALL my questions to the group!
Here is an url for quick translations between English and German from
the Chemnitz University to make life easier.
