The Airport Extreme Base Station DOES have the firewall protection
built into it. The older Airport (Graphite) Base Station does NOT have
this protection (keep in mind this one is the first generation of ABS),
but it does have a NAT server, which provides some protection. I am not
sure about the Snow models. Perhaps one of the owners of these models
can check.

The new Airport Express DOES have firewall protection as well.

p.s. Even with firewalls on, you can still play online games, you just
have to open the firewall up to allow the back and forth access through
the port the game is using, in the same way we had to open up a port to
use iChat and iTunes with the firewall built into OS-X.

Someday, I will come up with a clever signature line. I am not sure if
I will use it or not, but I will come up with one.
