My computer is doing it again. It automatically dials up an Internet connection. It was doing fine until about half an hour ago when it started dialing. Luckily I was on the phone and heard the telltale clicking.
I checked the only place I know for automatic dialing: System Preferences>Network>Show [Internal Modem] (normally this is set to AirPort)>PPP>PPP Options: "Connect automatically when needed" was not checked. "Disconnect if idle for 10 minutes" is checked. Neither of these seems to work, if I understand what they are supposed to do. The computer seems to connect automatically when ever it wants, whether I need it or not. And it does not disconnect if I'm called away and don't get back for a while. Why?
