You could also be experiencing what I had happen not to long ago. A kid in the apartment complex I live in (next door building) got a new laptop with the centrino networking thingies (which is intel's 802.11b). It tapped my airport and he was surfing on my connection.
Try adding a password, your airport may be set up to be a pubic hot spot.
