Thanks for the offer, but unfortunately there is no SCSI port on the  
iMac, so I don't think that would work.

Does anyone know if there is a way to use "Target" mode, or something  
equivalent to it, on a G3 iMac --  using the Ethernet port as the  
connector rather than Firewire? Or is that strictly a Firewire thing?

The suggestion that I remove the hard drive and connect it to another  
computer is a possibility, but I'm trying to keep from having to take  
this thing apart.
